Who we are?
Minding the Gap is a co-op group of providers focused on offering Trauma Informed Mental Health Services through collaboration, education, and community support
We started out as a cop and a therapist; Sam Simon, NCPRS and Vania Simon, LMHC and have grown into a co-op team of providers with a heart for trauma informed service.
Our mission is to bring trauma informed care and mental health awareness to our community, with a focus on first responder wellness and resilience, by proving mental health and peer support to first responders and their families as well as others that are struggling with mental health due to traumatic stress.
Our vision is human wellness supported by service, peer support, community, and family.
Minding The Gap Inc. collaborates with providers with a strong commitment to bringing mental health services in a holistic and trauma informed way to our community. As a cooperative group, we provide evidenced based and client centered care. Through collaboration, training, and psychoeducation we can build a network of support and services that reach beyond the mental health office.
We started this journey by serving, training and connecting; what we have found along the way is a team of dedicated, genuine, and compassionate providers that go above and beyond to provide culturally competent and diverse treatment. Scroll down and meet our team.
